Why Baby’s First Holidays?

My name is Heather, owner of First Festive Footies. I’m a wife, Christian and mom of two (plus our two “fur babies”).

Life as a parent can feel like a whirlwind sometimes, right?

I’ve experienced the joy and chaos that comes with raising my little ones, and I understand how grandparents savor every moment with their grandbabies, trying to capture every precious memory. In the midst of this beautiful chaos, I try to hold on to these fleeting moments through photos and recordings, creating a treasure trove of memories.

I get it. That’s why my journey began with a simple gift of “Baby’s First” holiday socks. When I welcomed my son into the world, I couldn’t wait to celebrate his first holidays, starting with those adorable socks. But when I searched for “Baby’s First” Christmas socks, I came up empty-handed. Seriously, not a single one! I thought, “Why not Christmas, of all holidays?” With my family’s help, I improvised, making our own socks using T-shirt transfer paper and paint.

However, I knew I wanted something better for my next child. When I learned that I was expecting my daughter, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I set out to create high-quality, holiday-themed socks to make dressing up for those special first moments easier. I dressed her up in festive styles for each holiday, capturing precious pictures for her baby book along the way. Let’s be real, getting those perfect shots of a little one, especially around their first birthday, could be quite the adventure! It often took a team effort to keep my spirited sweetheart still long enough for those photos, but the results were priceless.
